Q.  How do I know I'm getting a fair price?

A.  When getting quotes, make sure the contractor is answering all your questions, and is providing all costs, i.e, labor and material.  If one quote is far lower than the others, be careful.  On the other hand, do not pass up a great deal.  Make sure the quotes come from a reputable source. Glenn Hendrickson Construction is a member of the Better Business Bureau and is listed on Angies List.

Q.  Do I need a contract?

A.  You do NOT need a lawyer, but you certainly should get a quote in writing stating exactly what will be done.

Q.  Is it wise to go with the lowest quote for the job?

A.  Not always.  You have to consider quality.  A fast but sloppy job is no bargain.  Craftsmanship takes time.

Q.  Can I do business by phone?

A.  The contractor must eventually see the job site! There might be things that have to be done of which the client is not aware.

Q.  Will I have to hire subcontractors?

A.  Not usually!  Hendrickson Builders can provide most services, but if there is some artisan you want us to work with, that's fine.
